Brown is the owner of Aten Solutions, Inc. (A10), a clinical trials research company in Cary, N.C. She is a co-founder and board member of Diversity Alliance for Science, Inc. and a Triangle Business Impact Leader for 2008. Soyka-Smith is the founder of Soyka Smith Design Studios, an Upper Montclair, NJ-based library furniture dealership and interior design consulting company. She volunteers her time to redesign and supply new furniture and equipment to local schools in her community, and was a finalist in the 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards. Collins, president of The Event Planning Group, LLC, has 10 years of business experience and currently operates a full-service meetings and event management company in Washington, D.C. Curran is the owner of Phoenix Data Corporation located in Indianapolis. Politte owns Dieb Enterprises, a Hillsboro, MO-based complete sales and service organization that serves bottlers and operators in the vending industry. She is involved in The Workforce Preparation Program, a mentoring program at a community college that prepares women to enter the workplace, and was a finalist in the 2008 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards.
